Question: Is this good for my health?

If all i ate was a 845 calorie burrito bowl from chipotle the whole entire day is that good for me? So the whole day I took in 845 calories? Will that help me lose weight as well? |

If you only consume 845 calories a day, you will surely lose weight. HOWEVER, this weight loss will not be sustainable... How long do you think you can go with just eating one meal a day ? Sooner or later you will have to give in... And even if you dont, your body will lower the metabolism to match your incoming calories to keep you alive.You will lose more muscle than fat when you are calorie deprived. Once you go back to your normal eating habits, you will gain all your lost weight and some more. A better idea is to eat 3 good meals a day and the last meal should be a salad. Add 30-45 minutes of daily walking/ jogging ( or a mix of both ) and you will lose a pound or two every week. I know it doesnt sound like a HIUGE weight loss per week, but this weight will never come back because you are not making any drastic changes to your lifestyle. Would you rather lose 20 pounds in 2 months and gain back 20 pounds plus an extra 5 pounds in the next 4 months ( once you get off your diet ) or would you rather lose 24-36 pounds in 6 months , never to gain them back ? Your choice... |

Your food intake is usually based on a 2,000 calorie diet. 845 is not 2,000. If you are loosing weight, you can still get 2,000 calories by eating healthy foods. Instead of regular chips, try 100 calorie chips. You need to eat plenty of veggies, too. However, sometimes depending on your body weight, you need to consume either more or less calories. This website here will let you put in your information so that you can see how many calories you need to consume daily, and the amounts of food you should eat to keep healthy: mypyramid.gov/ index.html Remember, you need to exercise daily also! |
