Question: This is for all those who have questions about nutrition and how to lose weight or stay in shape? read.?
(Posted by: wolfpack1jmb on 2010-07-18 20:56:20)
My brother is a personal trainer and studied nutrition, so I know what I am talking about. If you do not eat enough you will lose weight but will go into starvation mode. Starvation mode eats your muscle for fuel and stores the energy in the food you eat as fat. Also stay hydrated, losing water weight is not good. Food is fuel, why would not not give your body what it needs just to lose weight? Sounds stupid, doesn't it? Here is what you need to do: 1) Sleep at least 8 hours every night. 2) Drink at least 2 liters of water every day or in other words 8 8 ounce glasses. Drink orange juice and milk at breakfast. 3) Eat at least 2000 calories and even more if you exercise more than an hour or are active all day. Eat a lot of protein, whole wheat and grains, and fruits. Make sure you eat enough vegetables and dairy products too. 4) Exercise. Stretch every day and have at least 1 or 2 rest days every week so your muscles can rest. Run, run, and run some more. Interval train every few times you run. Interval training is basically sprinting for a set amount of time then running at a moderate pace for a set amount of time going back and forth. Swim laps if you know how to swim. Do pushups, situps, planks, pullups, dips, lunges, squats, and jumping jacks. If you even think about lifting weights, get help from someone who knows what they are talking about. Have them show you around and watch you for a while. Leave an answer if I help or answer any of your questions. No idea about the surgery thing, but I can give you more ab stuff. Do situps, bicycle situps, crunches, left crunches, right crunches, crunches on a ball at the gym, planks, one handed planks... Is that enough? |

This was great info, thank you! I never wanted to believe the whole starvation mode thing and I tried many times to starve myself but it always ended up in failure, and I definitly regained back the weight as people say. So I will never ever go back to starving, it just doesn't work and not realistic(I wish all the anorexics could realize this!) I love drinking water! but have to exercise more than 30 min a day and seriously start eating healthy..... |
