Question: Is this a good diet for weight loss?

Breakfast: Bowl of Special K + Skim Milk Recess: Pear Lunch: Very thin rye bread wrap + chicken & vegetables Afternoon tea: Small Nectarine Dinner: Green Salad with Tuna and a small mango. I want to lose 6 kilos in about 6 weeks. I am going to the gym daily. |

Yes it is a good diet but you might want a more substantial breakfast to help speed your metabolism. |

Being a nutritionist i will say.well this is good food for gaining weight.but look dear if u want to loose some fats very fast.u must avoiid any fatty or protein rich food.like tuna.and if ur doing gym thats good.but u should only take carbohydrates in ur diet.because u need only carbohydrates to do ur daily ruitine work. |

It sounds like your intake may be slightly too low, you should calculate your daily needs in terms of calories and simply reduce it by 10% or less per day. If you cut it too low your body will actually believe it is starving and start storing more food as fat even though you aren't eating a lot (yes this is true) causing you to actually gain weight or not lose any even though you aren't eating much. This is why its important to get the right amount of energy into you. Your breakfast seems fine, recess you could add another type of fruit. Lunch seems fine, afternoon tea add a tub of yoghurt or something to get more calcium, one bowl of milk isn't enough. Dinner is nowhere near enough. |

Yes, that's a very good diet but you can also try eating fruits for 3 days. I do that regularly and it is really effective. |
